When Luz gets Amity's job back, and Amity gets a new hairdo, Amity confirms her feelings by kissing Luz on the cheek, only to get flustered and leave. Afterwards, Luz asks Amity about the note, but Amity tells Luz that "it's not important" and throws the other half of the note. The half tossed aside shows that the note was meant for Luz, revealing that Amity has a crush on her. In "O Titan, Where Art Thou", Luz and Eda go on a mission to retrieve Francois for King after the Emperor's Coven raided the Owl House. While looking through a warehouse, Luz overhears Eda asking Raine to send her and King away so that they'll be safe during the Day of Unity.
However, she is treated as a servant and forced to perform menial tasks such as putting away the transformed citizens of the Boiling Isles and serve food to Eda. While having the transformed Raine Whispers help her, Emperor Belos appears and says someone was useful. Odalia assumes he was referring to her, but the former Emperor actually refers to Raine and possesses their body, much to Odalia's shock.
